Some of the other innovative features and benefits of the Neato XV-11 all-floor vacuum cleaner include:

  • Scuff-free navigation: At the vacuum's core is a centrifugal compression impeller that follows jet engine airflow principles. It creates sustained high-powered suction, allowing the Neato XV-11 to thoroughly pick up dirt and debris.
  • Low-profile access: The robot's RPS technology constantly updates its internal map so it can accurately detect objects greater than four inches in height and carefully clean around them without damaging furniture and walls.
  • Smart design and large dirt bin: The robot vacuum cleaner's low profile (less than four inches high) allows it to clean under beds, sofas, and toe-kicks in the kitchen.
  • Self-docking to re-power: After completing its cleaning, it returns automatically to its base to re-charge itself. By utilizing the charging base, the robot is charged and ready to go when it's needed most

NEW!! The Neato XV-11 is a new generation vacuum robot that maps its surroundings in a room and determines the doorways when first analyzing a room. It determines the best path to take and starts cleaning the perimeter of the area and then uses a methodical back and forth straight-line pattern to complete the interior. It follows this method, cleaning your house segment by segment.

Neato's Room Positioning System is the first laser distance sensor suitable for consumer products. RPS technology gives the robot a full 360-degree view of a room so it can create a map of the room, detecting walls, doorways, furniture and other obstacles up to four meters away. With the RPS system, the Neato VX-11 carefully avoids most obstacles that other robots can only detect by impact. In some cases, if it doesn't see an object, it will lightly bump into it.

If you start the robot cleaning and it runs low on battery power, it will attempt to return to its charging base to recharge. When your Neato XV-11 is charged up again, the robot will return to where it left off to finish cleaning. The XV-11 remembers all of the maps of the area it has cleaned and knows what it has left to clean, even while it is in suspended mode.

It's hip to be square - Neato's squared-front design allows it to reach corners or the rooms and closer to the walls. Its is especially effective when excavating the dust that builds up in corners of rooms and under furniture.
